Systems Administrator “Shed”

Hello Shed!

Tell us a little about yourself first.

Hello My Name is Shedrick Dimzon, My friends call me Shed for short. I am a Jolly person. i don't want negativity in my environment. I play a lot of mobile games and i like spending a lot of time with my son.

What was your profession before you became a VA?

I started as a Desktop support engineer, then years after promoted as a Team leader (site lead), handling 2 of our sites in Mandaluyong and 1 in BGC. I was an onsite engineer back then with a little mix of Hybrid setup. It was tough, even though I've been in the industry for more than 7 years. I spent most of my time in the office rather than at our home. My second Job was with an MSP based in Los Angeles, the company supports a lot of hotels. There are also 5-star hotels in LA that we're supporting. The work environment is tedious, the team is not a team. We are not synced. No proper process setup. It's like you've been thrown into the operation with no only the base knowledge you have. This is also where I've met our HR, who mentioned IVA to me asked me to apply. Then it is how it started at IVA pro.

How is your IVA PRO Experience?

Since i already have experience with MSPs, I thought it would be just the same as my previous MSP Career. The environment here is very different from my past job. it is like something that I've been wanting to have ever since i started my career in IT. A Learn and Apply type of Job.

The team here is very approachable and accommodating, even the client, and also our Supervisor. She's very helpful, cheerful, and she will boost your morale to the point that you will think you are on the right track.

Share with us some of your achievements.

  • Learning a lot from our client

  • More time with my Family.

  • Day-to-day improvement of my skills.

  • Always receiving positive feedback from the Client.

Do you have any message for IVA PRO?

I am grateful to IVA for giving me this opportunity and experience to be one of their team. Thank you for valuing us not just as employees but as people who also need a break when exhausted or burned out. Thank you for always checking up on us to Ms. CC and to Sir Darwin.

Any message to future aspiring VAs?

If you want to be valued, be a better person, or to specialize in your skill, this may be the Job you need.

How about you, what is your VA story? Join us in IVA PRO and start your journey. Who knows? Maybe you might be the next IVA Success Story.
